What Clean Beauty Was Meant to Be
“Clean beauty” usually means removing harmful ingredients. We believe it should mean more — every ingredient actively working for your skin.
Every Ingredient Earns Its Place
At IF Beauty, we don’t just ask “is this ingredient safe?” We ask “is this ingredient working for your skin?”
That’s a higher bar than most clean beauty brands set. And it changes everything about how we formulate.
Our makeup uses plant pigments that deliver antioxidants while they color. Our preservative is vitamin E—an ingredient that fights aging, not just bacteria. Our ingredient lists have 5-12 items you can actually pronounce.
Fresh, small-batch production means we don’t need what mass-produced products require. Short ingredient lists mean higher concentrations of what actually works.
This is the IF Commitment. This is what clean beauty was meant to be.
What Goes In
Every ingredient in an IF Beauty product is chosen for a reason—and that reason is always your skin.
Plant-Based Pigments
Beetroot, hibiscus, turmeric, cacao
Where other brands use micas and mineral oxides for color, we use plant pigments. The difference? Our pigments deliver antioxidants while they color your skin — doing double duty for your beauty routine.
Beetroot extract neutralizes free radicals. Hibiscus provides natural UV protection. These aren’t just colorants—they’re skincare.
Vitamin E Preservation
Nature’s antioxidant
Most products use synthetic preservatives like phenoxyethanol. They’re safe, but they’re inactive—they don’t benefit your skin at all.
We preserve with vitamin E, an ingredient dermatologists have trusted for over 50 years. It protects your product from oxidation while delivering anti-aging benefits to your skin.
Short Ingredient Lists
5-12 ingredients, not 30+
Pick up most beauty products and you’ll find 25, 30, even 40 ingredients. Many are fillers, stabilizers, or ingredients added to extend shelf life.
Our products have 5-12 ingredients. Each one is there because it benefits your skin. Fewer ingredients also means reduced irritation risk and higher concentrations of what actually works.
Fresh, Small-Batch Production
Made when you order, not months ago
Mass-produced products need aggressive preservation because they sit in warehouses for months. Our products are handcrafted in small batches, often made within weeks of your order.
Fresh production means gentler formulations and fewer preservatives.
What Stays Out
We’re not here to fear-monger. Many ingredients we exclude aren’t dangerous—they’re just unnecessary. When every ingredient has to earn its place, these didn’t make the cut.
Micas & mineral oxides
Safe, but inactive. Our plant pigments deliver antioxidants while they color.
Synthetic preservatives
Effective, but don’t benefit skin. Vitamin E preserves AND provides anti-aging benefits.
Parabens
Unnecessary when you formulate fresh in small batches.
Sulfates
Too harsh. We use gentler cleansing agents.
Phthalates
No place in clean beauty.
Synthetic fragrances
We use essential oils for natural, therapeutic scent.
Filler ingredients
If it doesn’t benefit your skin, it doesn’t belong in the formula.
This isn’t about what’s “bad.” It’s about raising the bar for what “good” means.
A Different Approach
