Hero Ingredients

Coconut Charcoal

This is what gives the kajal that deep, rich black. Coconut charcoal is gentle and purifying — completely different from synthetic black pigments. It glides on smoothly and stays put.

Castor Oil

I use castor oil in everything because it’s so good for lashes and brows. While you’re wearing your kajal, you’re actually nourishing your lash line. It also helps the product apply smoothly.

Almond Oil

Light and nourishing, almond oil makes the kajal creamy and easy to apply. It’s full of natural vitamin E and gentle enough for the delicate skin around your eyes.

Beeswax

This is what gives the kajal its staying power. Beeswax holds everything together so your liner stays put once you apply it, and it creates a protective layer that’s gentle on sensitive skin.

Sunflower Lecithin

My natural emulsifier. It helps all the oils and wax blend into a smooth, consistent texture so that way you get even application every time. It’s also full of fatty acids that help with moisture.

French Lavender Essential Oil

Just a few drops for soothing properties and a beautiful subtle scent. Lavender is calming for sensitive eyes.

Camphor Essential Oil

A tiny amount of camphor gives the kajal a cooling, refreshing feel when you apply it. It’s traditional in South Asian kohl formulas — it helps keep your eyes feeling fresh and comfortable.

Vitamin E

This does double duty. It preserves the kajal naturally so I don’t need any synthetic preservatives, and it’s an antioxidant that protects the delicate skin around your eyes. Your skin actually benefits from the preservative.

Description

I’m so excited about this one. I’ve been working on it forever. This is traditional kohl, the way it’s been made for centuries, but in these gorgeous little gold lockets.

I make it with coconut charcoal for that deep black color, and castor oil which is so good for your lashes. Beeswax gives it staying power, and vitamin E keeps it fresh naturally. It’s perfectly safe for the waterline — I formulated it specifically for that. Just get a really fine thin brush, like a MAC 210, and you can create the most beautiful lines.

The French lavender oil makes it smell beautiful and is actually soothing for your eyes. This is my best seller on Etsy, and once you try it, you’ll understand why.

How to Use

Use a fine liner brush (I like MAC 210) to apply. Dip, tap off excess, and draw your line. Start thin. You can always build up.

For waterline: Use a gentle hand. This formula is specifically made to be safe there.

Brush recommendations: Any fine liner brush works. A thin, angled brush gives you precision for wings.

Lasts: About 6 months with daily use.

A lot of clean beauty is just about taking things out. I wanted to put good things in.

FAQ
Is it really safe for the waterline?
Yes! I formulated it specifically for waterline use. The ingredients are all eye-safe and I test everything on myself first.
How is it different from regular eyeliner?
This is traditional kohl. Creamy, blendable, and nourishing. It gives a softer, more romantic look than liquid liner. Plus you’re getting castor oil on your lash line, which is actually good for lash growth.
Does it smudge?
It sets but stays workable for a few minutes, so you can smudge it intentionally for a smoky look. Once set, it stays put.
What’s with the locket?
Isn’t it gorgeous? Traditional kohl is often kept in beautiful containers. I wanted to honor that tradition. Plus you can wear it as jewelry if you want!
How long does one last?
With daily use, about 6 months. A little goes a long way.

    The package was shipped out within just a day of ordering and arrived very fast. It’s a beautiful little locket filled with a soft creamy black kajal that has a nice scent to it I’d recommend caution if you’re very sensitive to scents but otherwise this is perfect. I simply warmed it up a bit with my finger and then was able to apply it smoothly and effortlessly. It does have a small little hoop on the locket so you could easily attach it to a chain or something to wear it. I’d highly recommend this product and store as it’s obvious great care was taken into consideration with both the product and packaging.
